Experiment code 14.5.3.51
Experiment Title Design and Development of Battery Operated NSKE Sprayer
Research Type Departmental Research
Experiment Background NSKE is most popular botanical pesticide for control of insects/pests and past on various crop. It is made by neem seed. It is frequently used in organic farming as well as present farming practices. It is spraying direct on standing crop. When using spryer (knapsack and foot sprayer) for spraying of NSKE on the field the spryer pump and nozzle frequently blockage due to property of NSKE. It is not proper mixing in water due high viscous and oily property of in compare to other spray liquid material. There is dire need to spraying cum mixing machine to spraying NSKE on the crop field. Therefore, it is proposed to develop a spryer for spraying of NSKE as well other chemicals.

Design consideration:

  1. Machine could be operated by the battery
  2. Sprayer could be manufactured light weight material like plastic.
  3. Machine would follow up ergonomics criteria.
  4. Machine would be used as normal knapsack type NSK sprayer for most of field crop.
