Experiment Title High Density Planting in Greater Yam

Experiment Background Greater yam is a popular tuber crop in India. It plays an important role in vegetative diet. Purple fleshed greater yam are starchy root vegetables that are rich in carbohydrate, potassium, vitamin C, and phytonutrients, all of which are important for maintaining good health. High Density Planting gives maximum crop yield at maturity by enhancing productivity and staggered harvesting may give actual result of best maturity month and it establishing a continuous harvest over an extended period. Therefore above experiment has been framed up to find out the best suited spacing of greater yam.
