Experiment code 17.2.3.92
Experiment Title Evaluation of different times of sowing of rabi sorghum
Research Type Departmental Research
Experiment Background Sorghum [Sorghum bicolor L. Moench] is one of the most important crops in the world. It is considered the fourth cereal crops after maize, wheat and rice. Such crop can yield reasonably well under adverse conditions of low soil moisture and high temperature, although it responses well to irrigation. It is grown in different part of the tropical and subtropical regions in the world. In South Gujarat farmers are growing rabi sorghum in sizeable area, sowing starting from month of September to November. Rabi-sorghum variety Phule Revati or any other recently released variety requires this type of experimentation
