Experiment code 19.4.3.38
Experiment Title Effect of different growing media for ZZ plant
Research Type Departmental Research
Experiment Background Zamioculcus zamifolia is gaining high popularity and highly priced as succulent plant indoor with higher application as table pot plant for urban horticulture. Soilless light weight growing media is required for its better application as well it is necessary to facilitate exports. Cocopeat, perlite, sand, vermicompost, banana fibre are common soilless potting media available in a market. Biochar is a wonder component to improve media drainage, water holding capacity as well as to balance EC. Thus, there is need to standardize its growing media.
