Experiment code 20.4.3.17
Experiment Title Response of Sansevieria cylindrica to different growing media
Research Type Departmental Research
Experiment Background Sansevieria cylindricais air purifying indoor plant and highly demanded as table pot plant in urban indoorsacping due to its compact growth and eye-catching shape. Soilless light weight growing media is required for its better application as well it is necessary to facilitate exports. cocopeat, perlite, sand, vermicompost, banana fibre are common soilless potting media available in a market. Biochar is a wonder component to improve media drainage, water holding capacity as well as to balance EC. Therefore, there is need to standardize its growing media.
