EFFECT OF NANO DAP ON YIELD AND YIELD ATTRIBUTES OF MUNGBEAN
Research Type
Departmental Research
Experiment Background
India is the major producer of green gram in the world and grown in almost all the States. It is grown in about 36 lakh hectares with the total production of about 17 lakh tonnes of grain with a productivity of about 500 kg/ha. The important green gram growing States in the country are Orissa, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Bihar. In Gujarat, it is cultivated in an area of about 1.73 lakh hectares with the production of 0.72 lakh tonnes with an average yield of 414 kg/ha. It is mostly grown during all three seasons where irrigation facility is available. Newly developed Mung bean varieties GM-6 released by pulses Research Station, N.A.U., Navsari is found promising for higher yield, earliness and resistant to YMV. There is no research work has been carried out on use of nano particles in mung bean. Therefore, an attempt has been made to carry out research work on nutrient management in mung bean with following objectives.
