Experiment code 21.2.3.45
Experiment Title Integrated Nutrient Management in sorghum during rabi season under conserved soil moisture condition
Research Type Departmental Trail
Experiment Background Rabi sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) is an important dryland crop cultivated primarily in rabi season in semi-arid regions of Gujarat, especially in bara tract of Bharuch. Unlike kharif sorghum, rabi sorghum relies on conserved soil moisture for growth and yield. Under limited soil moisture, nutrient management plays an important role to increase the yield of sorghum. Generally, farmers of this area apply chemical fertilizers along with manures. Therefore, the feasibility of integrated nutrient management should be determined for getting maximum yield under conserved moisture condition.
