| Experiment Background | Damping-off disease, predominantly caused by Pythium aphanidermatum, is a very serious problem in vegetable nurseries especially in tropical region. The pathogen attack on the emerging seedlings and even kill them before the seedlings reach to the stage of transplantation. • Many a time the disease increase in cent per cent and germplasm is completely lost in breeding nurseries. • The aim of the present study was to isolate an effective microbe from a Pythium infested soil and develop it into a purely organic formulation can also help in promotion organic and natural farming. • The antagonist, Streptomyces rochei C3 was identified under NAU-BARC MoU. The efficacy of the formulation of this microbe will be studied in the concerned technical program as per this experiment. | ||
