Experiment Background
Asparagus racemosus commonly known as shatavari is herb well known for its phytochemical properties. It is widespread in Indian subcontinent and can be cultivated in wide range on environmental conditions. It is being used in Ayurvedic, Unani and local medicines from ancient period. The application of organic manures and biostimulants has been shown to significantly impact the growth, yield, and quality of shatavari. These organic amendments, such as farmyard manure, vermicompost, and castor cake, along with biostimulants like Azotobacter, phosphate-solubilizing bacteria (PSB), and Jivamrut, have been found to increase dry root yield, plant height, branches per plant, plant biomass, and root length and girth. The use of these organic manures and biostimulants not only improves the quality of the plants but also enhances the overall productivity of shatavari cultivation. Therefore, in view of considering the above facts, the experiment is laid out with following objectives:
