| Experiment Background | Jamun is an under exploited indigenous fruit tree of India. It is a hardy crop and can tolerate drought as well as heavy rainfall conditions. it produces purple delicious fruits with prominent seeds. The enormous variation is due to sexual propagation of the tree and highly cross pollinated in nature. Therefore, a survey is proposed to find out variation in flowering, fruiting and physic-chemical traits of different genotypes so that the valuable germplasm could be conserved and utilized for various purposes. | ||
