Experiment code 2.4.3.S
Experiment Title Spacing and canopy management in sapota
Research Type AICRP Research
Experiment Background To know the effect spacing and pruning in sapota spacing. S1 : 10 x 10 m S2 : 8 x 8 m S3 : 8 x 6 m S4 : 6 x 6 m. The pruning treatments given below are implemented when the trees reach at pruning stage. In all cases, 0.50 m gap will be maintained between the plants in a row to achieve the following canopy gap. Pruning time (space between the plants within a row) P1 0.0 m P2 0.5 m P3 1.0 m Final canopy gap achieved between plants within a row 1.0 m 1.5 m 2.0 m

Methodology

:

This experiment is laid out during September, 2011 with four spacing.
