Experiment Title
Design and develop packaging box for Sonpari mango. |
Research Type
Departmental Research |
Experiment Background
The Sonpari, mango was pride released of AES, Paria hard work of scientist of GAU now NAU under national breeding program as cross between the Banganpalli (aka Baneshan) and Alphonso varieties. The fruit are round-ovate in shape, medium-sized and pale-yellow at maturity, sometimes developing a little pink blush at the top. The flesh is yellow, medium firm, fibreless, and contains a monoembryonic seed. The flavor is amazingly rich and complex with a terrific combination of decadent sweetness and spice notes, belonging to the Alphonso-Indian group and superior to both Banganpalli and Alphonso in our opinion. Now a days due to national and international recognition, its demand is increases for planting materials and fruits. Presently no post harvest management protocol for pack house operations like storage study, ripening and packing are available for this mango variety and so to standardize post harvest pack house operations these experiments are proposed with following objective. |
