Experiment Title EFFECT OF DIFFERENT N & P LEVELS IN RABI NIGER (Guizotia abyssinica L.)

Experiment Background Niger (Guizotia abyssinica L.) being native of Ethiopia is considered as a minor oilseed crop but is important in terms of its quality oil and protein in seed. Niger crop was cultivated in an area of 1.94 lakh with 0.65 lakh tonnes production and 334 kg/ha productivity with states Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha together contributing to 78% area of total area during 2018-19 in the country (AICRP- Sesame & Niger, 2019-20). Nutrient management is the prime necessity for obtaining profitable yield in niger. Nitrogen and Phosphorus are the major essential nutrients for nutrient management. Keeping all the above things in mind this research is being proposed.
