Experiment Title Evaluation of compatibility of NAUROJI Pseudomonas (Pseudomonas fluorescens) with different agrochemicals

Experiment Background Biofertilizer NAUROJI Pseudomonas (Pseudomonas fluorescens) is being used as PGPR in different crops. PGPR affects plant growth by nutrient uptake by direct or indirect mechanisms. Even, some of the bacteria have the capacity to secrete plant growth promoting chemicals; however, efficiency depends upon soil physical and chemical status. Surprisingly bacteria showed better activity in nutrient deficient soil as compare to nutrient rich soil. The bacterial inoculation into many plants significantly increases the seed yield, plant height and microbial population in soil. Use of PGPR with Phosphate enriched compost in an integrated manner improves the growth, yield and nodulation in chickpea. Several PGPR isolated from farm waste compost show synergistic effect on growth of pearl millet. There is apprehension among the farmers that if the Biofertilizers being living organisms, will be used with in the field where chemicals are being used frequently will not survive and proved effective results. Therefore, farmers are reluctant to use different Biofertilzers in their field. Theoretically, bacteria are resistant to many chemicals can only be killed by specific chemicals known as antibiotic. Therefore, the present investigation was planned to see the compatibility of different agrochemicals commonly available in the market with the biofertilizers NAUROJI Pseudomonas.
