|
There is a need to study the relationship between soil moisture content and soil physical characteristics that affected the water availability to crops. This type of work was carried out during 1984-85 for few centers of South Gujarat. Soil chemical and physical properties has shown changes with prolonged use of irrigation water. There need to review the previous study and will help in better understanding the changes in physical properties along with soil moisture release and transmission properties. The database generated through this study will be useful for planning irrigation experiments hence this study is planned. |
