| Experiment Background | Brinjal being salt tolerant crop, farmers of coastal area are growing brinjal during late kharif season. Earlier studies at Danti-Umbharat indicated that brinjal crop can be grown well on salt affected soil. Brinjal yield can be increase by proper irrigation schedule. Hence, It is necessary to evaluate its water requirement and develop irrigation schedule for brinjal during growing season. Black plastic is generally recommended for mulching purpose in most of the crop. It anticipated positive effect of mulching on brinjal. As there is no information about irrigation schedule and mulch for brinjal crop under coastal salt affected soils. Hence, this experiment is to be planned | ||
