Experiment code FPU/17/1 (17.4.3.80)
Experiment Title Growth performance of important bee floral plants in salt affected soils of South Gujarat
Research Type Departmental Research
Experiment Background Gujarat state has longest coastal line and a major chunk of land is affected by salinity. The higher salinity in any area can convert a fertile land into saline and wasteland. This kind of land can be utilized to grow trees which can serve as source of bee forage. As the growth of the trees will be affected by the salinity and other soil conditions, there is need to conduct the study about the growth performance of important bee plants so that they can be further utilized for the development of bee floral park.
